Introduction

The approximately 150 recordings in this Collection were donated by an American lover of Avatar Meher Baba from his personal library. The recordings were made from May 1967 to May 2002, a span of 35 years. The talks feature 30 speakers and, with 2 or 3 exceptions, are by those who physically met Meher Baba. The speaker recordings are arranged alphabetically (A - Z) according to the main or primary speaker’s first name. For example, the first listed recording is from “Adi K. Irani” and the last listing is “Rustom and Sohrab Irani”. The Collection contains a number of musical recordings of devotional music, artis, stage plays and other performances which will be added as time permits.

Notes: This Collection is a work in progress. You will note the three-column format for each page, from the left: Audio File, Content, and Text. As time permits, the Content column will be populated with a summary description for each recording. The Text column is currently a placeholder. Preparation of verbatim transcripts for the talks is in the works and when available, the word, “TEXT” will change to a bolded, “TEXT” linking to a verbatim transcription for a given talk.

Also note that dates are displayed in conventional USA format, i.e. month-day-year. For example, 09-01-78 = September 1, 1978. Running time of talks is displayed in the “hours:minutes:seconds format, for example: 01:30:42 = one hour, thirty minutes, forty-two seconds.
